Who we are

Brendon Buchanan 3rd Dan Aikikai has been studying Aikido for over 20 years. Before that he spent some time studying Kung fu, Tai Chi, Jujitsu and Judo, however Aikido is his passion. Our club’s motto ‘Kou Ki Do Kan Aikido’ roughly translates to a place where a light can be shone on your path.

Our club is also affiliated on a national and international level to Traditional Aikido Alliance  (TAA), and Traditional Aikido Europe (TAE).  Our safeguarding, coaching and insurance is with the British Aikido Board (BAB), the UK National Governing body for Aikdo.
